Me Mum's A'Bloom


Me Mums:

Me mums a'bloom in nature's bloom
among new autumn's call
where leaves in trees decide to dress
their best for one and all
and winds they still a bit to chill
none more the worse for wear
as young and old and in betweens
forsake their summer cares
to gaze beyond the green abound
by rights to see a sight
of colors yellow, orange and plums
where pumpkin squash delights
imaginations all aglow
to carve or bake in pie
me mums a'bloom in nature's loom
oh what a glorious sight.

Among the grass now new in green where birds again return to sing. Sparrows, warblers, mockingbirds, swoosh through winds on winged whispers. Sunlight bright, clear blue sky, Easter eggs, kites to fly. Warming air, longer days, teams to sort, ball games to play. Tractors plowing, seeds to sow, sprouts to gardens so to grow. Pollen sprinkles, grass to mow, rumbling rain showers away they roll. Onward, forward, farther go,  sweeping routines clean from souls. Trees in bloom, pink for spring,  adventure calls in visions seen. Motorcycles, water parks, roller coasters, museum arts. Weekend warriors plans in hand,  friend made road trips, sing with the band. Trunks stuffed full for family vacations,  schedules to keep in distant locations.
