No Stale Illusion
No soul alone on mother earth has saw a more colorful sight
than the living eyes who rise to greet the morning's light
no sweeter breath has e're been breathed than when it's breathed in silence
for it stills the mind from time releasing all requirements
no warmer fire can be warm from a wood or hearth
than can be found inside the embrace of a true love's arms
no man can dare to understand the grace that can't be bought
without the knowledge of the weak who struggle each step they walk
no picture book, no story wrote, no poem or prose from pen
could adequately describe the life and times of all who live
no height of cloud nor depth of sea can measure a life's worth
when measured on a tilted scale that robs their living mirth
no word of mouth nor thought of scorn can take from quiet minds
the treasures buried in the moments where they greeted life
no stale illusion, or bitter regret can displace a grateful being
loving all they know, with gentle soul, within an own soul's keeping.
