A Day A Life To Grow

A Day A Life To Grow

A day to wake, a day to make, a day a life to grow,
born from dreams of many things where living fed a soul
in light of sun, in dark of night where breath of dream is told
to linger, lurk in search of those who dare to be so bold,

In sipping thought of color from a flower, fruit or tree,
so as to bid them sustenance from what cannot be seen,
in hopes of finding those who search it out from their own need
allowed to grow for what it can and hopes to truly be.

A day to wake, a day to make, a day a life to grow,
born from dreams of many things where living fed a soul
in warming breads, earthly brown, in wheat spun from sun's gold,
to nourish mind from feebleness and body keeping whole.

While casting light from eager eyes into the sky above,
reflecting back the joys found as life sought for its love,
with feathered birds, stirring winds that push and often shove
a quiet mind beyond its border to places 'er heard of.

On castle clouds where kings look down eager to implore
a child-like heart to trust in them to steer it safe to shore.
A day to wake, a day to make, a day a life to grow,
born from dreams of many things where living fed a soul.
