Purging the Darkness

 

So vibrant is life abounding in color,
purging the darkness of all its trouble,
spreading in vastness, bursting with light,
painting the shadows, erasing their blight,
lifting all like it to stream into being,
renewing my mind to keep me believing,
in dreams I have dreamed,
in dreams where what ifs,
are now free from dreaming to fully live.

In quiet contemplations,  without pronunciations, allowing proclamations  from all nature speaks.  Not one thing or another, to whether or rather, simply allowing its multiplicity.  Its grandeur, its splendor, its rivers, its timbers, this sunrise, this star light, this tree bloom, this mountain side, of bird, vine, or flower woven gently by its power, I am of nature in all its frivolity. Among the grass now new in green where birds again return to sing. Sparrows, warblers, mockingbirds, swoosh through winds on winged whispers. Sunlight bright, clear blue sky, Easter eggs, kites to fly. Warming air, longer days, teams to sort, ball games to play. Tractors plowing, seeds to sow, sprouts to gardens so to grow. Pollen sprinkles, grass to mow, rumbling rain showers away they roll. Charcoal scents from warming grills, creatures all sorts roam the hills.  Alas the days of spring are here welcoming all to share the cheer.   © Jade Dane Jaspers, March 26th, 2026

Onward, forward, farther go,  sweeping routines clean from souls. Trees in bloom, pink for spring,  adventure calls in visions seen. Motorcycles, water parks, roller coasters, museum arts. Weekend warriors plans in hand,  friend made road trips, sing with the band. Trunks stuffed full for family vacations,  schedules to keep in distant locations.
